This is our high-end jasmine tea in pearl shape. This type of tea is not "White tea". The leaves to make these teas are picked from the Organic Da Bai Hao bush but the tea is not processed as a white tea. This tea is picked from the white tea bush, but is processed as a green tea, which means that though it is grown on the tea bush used to make white tea, it is a green tea. This is true for all jasmine teas.
For Dragon Pearl Jasmine a bud is picked in early spring, then hand rolled into a pearl shape and dried as a green tea. Dragon Pearl Jasmine is made from spring buds so the buds are fat and the pearls are white due to only the bud showing. The pearls are then mixed in with freshly picked jasmine flowers ( about 60% of tea and 40% jasmine) and left to absorb the flavor and aroma of the jasmine. The tea is then separated from the jasmine flowers and allowed to dry. This process is repeated a total of five times with fresh batches of jasmine each time.
This is a beautiful jasmine tea. It has a mild flavor and aroma that comes out over many infusions. The fact that the aroma lasts over many infusions is also a way of proving that this tea is infused with real jasmine flowers, not artificially scented.
In the cold spring, fresh, young buds from certified organic white tea bushes are harvested and then hand-rolled into tight pearls to make this tea. The dried 'pearls' are then laid down with heaps of night-flowering jasmine flowers which are discarded when morning arrives. Early spring white tea buds create this refreshing tea which is sweeter and milder than other jasmine tea.

Brewing Guidelines
Teaware: glass cup,glass or porcelain pot
Amount: ½ Tbs of tea pearls
Water: 80°C-90°C filtered water
Infusion: First infusion at least 2 minutes. The tea pearls are good for 5 infusions.

Storage: Best keep in a cool & dry place and no direct sunlight
